Norway’s highlights

This will be my first English post, I hope you like it :). Last week Oscar and I were in Drammen, Hemsedal, Hoddevik and Jotunheimen in one week.

Thank you @crossfitnjord for an awesome session today 🔥. . I could do more than I thought I would but stayed away from grip and too much upper body exercises. Fun fun day 😍.
Thank you so much for the love ❤️. It’s a weird feeling to think of how I trained my grip and upper body a few weeks ago compared to today 😝. . It heals so much faster than I thought it would though. The first three days (a week ago) I couldn’t use my hand at all and today I can use it for easier tasks. So I’m excited to see what I can do next week 😄. . As an athlete and running my own business - by using my hands, it’s devastating what has happened. But as an Osteopath I always think it’s interesting when I get injured. It’s the best lecture I can get about that type of injury. And a really good way to understand what my patients are going through 🤓. So I’m certain that I will come out of this injury even wiser 😉💁‍♀️.
I will never ever take these beautiful strong hands for granted again! . A week ago I climbed without a proper warm up, and it snapped in my right hand and ring finger. I got a partial rupture in one of my finger muscle 😢. Feels like I’ve always had trouble with something but this is my first acute injury in these five years in obstacle racing. I’m so dissapointed with myself but on the other hand also so happy and proud of myself that it didn’t happen sooner, considering everything I’ve put my body through these past years 🙈. . I haven’t been able to do my job properly this week and I’ve learned a valuable lesson. . In the end I’m not concerned about any of my carriers. The past two seasons I haven’t started working on my grip or specific OCR-strength until February due to shoulder problems. And it has been going pretty okey anyways 😉😁. . So if you start seeing weird strength sessions here, you know why 💃 . 📸: @ankigrothe
It was definitely my best moment in OCR 2019 😇. . Thank you @mudrunguide for nominating me in two(!) categories for the “Best of OCR 2019”. One for: the Best moment in 2019 - “Karin Karlsson winning the OCRWC” and second for: the best Female OCR Athlete in 2019. Thank you acknowledging my season 😘. If you’d like the vote, the link is in my bio 😄.
The first day with sun in weeks and the first snow of the season - on the same day. Also had a great day at work, hill interval session and a lovely afternoon with this guy 💛. Life is good, all I had to say!
Tight chest, thoracic spine or shoulders? “Open book” and “around the world” are exercises I use to mobilise the pectoral muscles (bröstmuskler), to gain control of the shoulder, and to mobilise the thoracic spine. . - Lock the knees with the bottom hand. - Breath out as you open up and breath in as you go back to the start position. See if you can go further each time. Around-the-World: - Make sure you rotate your shoulder/hand as you move around your head, to make room in the shoulder joint. - Avoid pinching, stabbing pain. Stretching, light aching pain is okey. - Do the exercises rather a bit slower than too fast 😁. . Let me know how it goes 😄.
